The Land Stewardship Workshop for Small Acreages brings together natural resource professionals from across the region to address topics relevant to small acreage landowners. This collaborative event is hosted by the Madison Conservation District, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, The Madison County Weed District and Montana State University Extension.

The 2026 workshop will be held on October 13th at the Madison County Admin Building in Virginia City from 4:30pm-7:00pm.

Topics to be covered include:

• Soil Health led by Donnie Englehardt, Agronomist for Rocky Mountain Supply
• Noxious Weeds led by Clayton Marxer, Program Coordinator for the Madison Valley Weed District
• Wildlife led by Julie Cunningham, Biologist with Fish, Wildlife and Parks
