The Madison River Foundation and Madison Conservation District will be hosting the Madison Watershed Speaker…
We can’t make good decisions without good information, and we can’t collect good information without all of the hard work from our Madison Stream Team members! Each summer, a group of community members volunteer their time to collect information about the health of our streams in the Madison Valley. Last year, these 17 members spent 270 hours in the field, and collected nearly 4,000 data points.
We have some new opportunities for members this year, and we have a feeling it might be our biggest sampling season yet.
Anyone interested in participating in the Madison Stream Team this summer can attend the annual training on June 11th. The event will kick off at the Madison Valley Public Library Community Room (210 East Main Street, Ennis, MT) at 10 am, and will wrap up at 4 pm after some hands-on training on Moores Creek. If you’re interested in attending the training, or would like to learn more about the responsibilities of Stream Team members, please contact Ethan Kunard at 682-7289, or email@example.com.
