Dave Bricker- River Hero

Dave Bricker has been monitoring the health of our waters since 2006.
Dave Bricker has been monitoring the health of our waters since 2006.

For over 20 years Dave and his wife Diane have come to Ennis to enjoy the landscape while also giving back to the resources, and the people, immensely. As an avid fly fisherman, David enjoys wading through the Madison River any day of the week. However, when Dave returns to Ennis each summer, he has much more on his mind than just casting his line. Rather, he comes to the valley to give back to it in a very extraordinary way.

It was this desire to give back which led him to help found the Madison River Foundation, and then to help organize community members in water quality data collection efforts, which eventually led to the development of the Madison Stream Team. Additionally, David’s passion for preserving the lifestyle, and the resources, of our community, has made him an essential part of the great conservation work being done in the valley. His eagerness, patience, thoughtfulness, selflessness, and long-term vision for a great future of the Madison River watershed make Dave our very own river hero.

We appreciate all of the time and dedication that Dave puts into the efforts of the Madison CD. We thank him, and we thank all of the other river heroes in our community. Keep up the good work!
