Madison Stream Team

Volunteer water quality monitoring is the focus of the Madison Stream Team, a group of local citizens trained to collect water quality data on local streams. The initial training was held in June 2010, with experienced staff from the Montana State University Extension Water Quality program and the Montana Watercourse leading the 2 day session. Members of the Madison Stream Team collect data on several local streams identified as impaired by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality. Team members contributed 24 volunteer days collecting data, with the results compiled in the Madison Stream Team Report for 2010. The report is available at the bottom of the page.
