Meet Torie Bunn, Water Technician

This summer the Madison CD has hired water quality expert Torie Bunn as a summer technician to assist in various water monitoring projects around the valley.

After working for a water quality consulting firm for 5 years, Torie came to Montana from northern Michigan to pursue a Master’s Degree in River/Riparian Ecology at MSU.  Since earning her degree in 2011, Torie has been working for MSU Extension Water Quality, assisting Stream Teams around the state with volunteer trainings and writing their guidance documents.  She’ll be doing similar work around the Madison as part of our focus on water quality monitoring.

She’s very excited to have the opportunity to work with MST this summer: “Nothing could make my job more enjoyable than enthusiastic volunteers and the breath-taking scenery of the Madison Valley.”
