Cover Crop Workshop January 13th

Start off the New Year with some expanded knowledge!    This workshop will cover how soil health benefits from cover crops, how to use cover crops as alternative forages, and how livestock can be the missing link to maximizing cover crops benefits.

We are pleased to welcome Susan Tallman (NRCS) and Dave Scott (NCAT) who will discuss tillage, cover cropping, soil health and proper use of livestock in a cover cropping system. Results from a local applied trial in using cover crops as alternative forages will also be presented. Lunch is included, starting at noon at the Harrison Fire Hall.  Please RSVP by noon, January 11, 2016 by calling Madison-Jefferson Extension office 287-3282.  Meals cannot be guaranteed if you RSVP after this date.
